My name is Laura McCall, and I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Fifteen years ago, I started my nursing career working in the hospital on both medical and surgical inpatient units. Nursing was my passion, but I also found my love for teaching - orienting new graduates and working as a clinical instructor for the local college. After a few years, I switched to home health nursing- providing care within the community setting. During that time, I found that many of my patients did not have primary care providers, offices were closed, did not return phone calls, or no appointments were available, and the only option was to go to the ER. After a couple years in the community, I decided to go back to school to become a Nurse practitioner and help fill the need for primary care providers.

I graduated from South University in Savannah, GA in 2016 and have since been working as a nurse practitioner in adult and geriatric populations in a variety of settings- both acute needs and chronic care management. During this time, I also became very passionate about palliative medicine and end-of-life care, working a variety of roles, and in 2020 became Board-Certified in Hospice and Palliative medicine.

Last year, I joined my friends over at Enhanced Wellness, working part time doing IV therapy. I loved their approach to wellness- using alternative therapies to help patients heal, prevent illness and feel their best. However, many still needed primary care services and again, I wanted to be able to provide these services, yet traditional offices and insurance put up so many restrictions. This is why I fell in love with the model of Direct Primary Care. I am able to get to know my patients, be there when they need me (we all know illness does not happen Mon-Fri 8-5), and work with patients to get to their optimal health.

When not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 children. We enjoy sports, traveling, camping, hiking and off-roading.
